Rabat – In a significant move to bolster digital education in Morocco, the Moroccan Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, in collaboration with technology giant Oracle, announced the official launch of a new online training and certification portal. This initiative, unveiled on Friday, aims to provide Moroccan university students and professors with free access to a diverse range of training courses and learning tools.
Enhancing Digital Skills and Supporting National Goals
The newly launched platform is designed to equip participants with essential digital skills through comprehensive training programs and professional certifications. This initiative is part of Morocco’s broader strategy to enhance digital literacy, support the country’s ongoing digital transformation, and meet the evolving needs of both national and international employers and investors.
The Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform highlighted that this partnership with Oracle aligns with its vision to increase the number of individuals trained in digital professions. This effort is also a key component of the National Plan for Accelerating the Transformation of the Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation Ecosystem by 2030 (PACTE ESRI 2030).
Creation of “Code 212” Centers
A significant aspect of this plan is the establishment of “Code 212” centers within Moroccan universities. These centers will serve as hubs for digital education and innovation, further reinforcing Morocco’s commitment to nurturing a skilled workforce capable of thriving in the digital economy.
Diverse Training Programs and Professional Certifications
Leveraging Oracle’s expertise, the platform offers a wide array of resources and training opportunities. Participants can gain professional certifications in various technology fields, which will help recognize and validate their skills and knowledge. The new website indicates that the platform provides essential training on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), artificial intelligence (AI) concepts, DevOps, APEX low-code development, and database services.
Additionally, the training portal covers end-to-end business processes for Oracle’s Human Capital Management (HCM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Customer Experience (CX) Cloud solutions. For those interested in software development, the platform also offers training in Java SE for developing secure applications.
Driving Digital Transformation in Morocco
The launch of this training and certification portal marks a significant step towards enhancing digital skills and talent in Morocco. By providing free access to high-quality training resources, the initiative supports the country’s digital transformation and the development of its digital economy. It also aligns with the ministry’s broader vision of preparing Moroccan students and professors to meet the demands of the modern digital landscape, ensuring they are well-equipped for future opportunities.
With this initiative, Morocco continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering a digitally skilled workforce, capable of driving innovation and contributing to the nation’s economic growth.
